Brief Overview: Company M All Stars is a vital and expressive component of All Star sports: enhancing stamina, speed, flexibility, and poise. Our team provides athletes with the chance to join a group of dedicated dancers that compete in various competitions, fostering well-rounded dancers and valuable life skills. We follow all rules and regulations with DTU, NDA and USASF.

Dance Genres: Typical dance categories that we compete in include hip hop, jazz, and pom. Competition routines will incorporate many technical elements and skills specific to the dance styles while emphasizing musicality, uniformity, synchronization, complexity and athleticism. And, depending on the competition, teams also have the opportunity to meet with judges to receive feedback on what they did well and ways to improve.

Who can Join? Unlike traditional school dance teams, which focus on crowd support and other roles, All Star Dance prioritizes competition and preparation beyond high school. Our teams are organized through several studios and welcome dancers from across the area.

Season Requirements: Dancers are required to take a ballet and jazz class at their home studio or school. Acro classes are encouraged as well but not required.

Attendance: REQUIRED. All dancers must attend rehearsals. Dancers can get approvals to miss by coach but must make up choreography by taking privates at $60 per hour. The week before a competition, dancers must be in attendance at the practice.

Elements: Dancers will be working on or asked to accomplish include flat splits, double/triple pirouettes, toe touch, turning disk, turns in second, calypso, head spring and kip up. Bonus elements include aerials and tumbling skills.

Company M promotes Dance Positivity :

Dance empowers athletes with an “I can do” attitude in an elite All Star environment that is: safe and fun; builds independence and self-confidence; and provides a place for positive social interaction and peer support. This includes parents as well.
